Acceptable Use Policy
Last updated: 2026-05-18
This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to everyone who uses VenueFuze. It supplements the Terms of Use. Violations can result in content removal, event suspension, account termination, or cooperation with law enforcement.
1. Prohibited content
You may not publish or host on VenueFuze:
- Content that is unlawful, defamatory, harassing, threatening, or that incites violence.
- Sexually explicit content, content sexualizing minors, or content that violates obscenity laws.
- Content that infringes the intellectual property or publicity rights of others, including unauthorized use of logos, photos, or copyrighted text.
- Hate speech or content that discriminates on the basis of race, ethnicity, religion, gender, sexual orientation, gender identity, disability, or national origin.
- Content that attempts to deceive attendees (fake events, phantom inventory, falsified sponsor credentials).
2. Prohibited transactions
- Events that violate the laws of the jurisdiction in which they are held (including local gaming, alcohol, or food-handling regulations).
- Ticket scalping in violation of applicable resale law, or re-selling above face value where prohibited.
- Auctions of regulated items (firearms, prescription medications, controlled substances) where VenueFuze is not a licensed broker.
- Donations or fundraising under false pretenses or for unregistered nonprofits where registration is required.
3. Prohibited technical conduct
- Attempting to access accounts, data, or surfaces you are not authorized to use.
- Probing, scanning, or testing the vulnerability of the platform without a written agreement (responsible-disclosure contacts: security@venuefuze.com).
- Sending automated or excessive traffic (DDoS, scraping at a rate that degrades service, credential stuffing).
- Bypassing CAPTCHA, rate limiting, or other safety mechanisms.
- Sending unsolicited promotional email through your Organizer broadcast tools to attendees who did not opt in.
4. Attendee data
Organizers must use attendee data they receive through VenueFuze only for purposes related to the event the attendee registered for, plus communications the attendee has explicitly opted into. Selling, renting, or transferring attendee email lists is prohibited.
5. Sponsor and vendor representations
Organizers must not call out a sponsor, partner, or vendor on the public event page without authorization to do so. VenueFuze may remove logos or text identifying parties on legitimate request from the party or their counsel.
6. Enforcement
Suspected violations should be reported to abuse@venuefuze.com. We will investigate and may, at our sole discretion, remove content, suspend events or accounts, withhold disbursement of funds pending review, or refer to law enforcement. Where the violation is non-egregious, we prefer to notify the operator and request remediation before suspension.
7. Changes
We may update this AUP as our service evolves. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent revision.
